One of the things in astrology that gets less talked about is cusp energy. Considering I’m an Aries-Taurus cusp myself (Aries Sun @ 27°, Taurus Moon @ 15°, Taurus Rising @ 0°), I’ll share with you some interesting secrets about the Aries-Taurus cusp in particular. These are only a few secrets, as the esoteric study and understanding of these energies can lead to infinite potentials. That being said, Aries-Taurus cusp signs form a unique element that’s different from the base four (air, fire, water, earth). They also have a cosmic connection with several Gods and Goddesses. They’re not just headstrong, but intelligent too. And last but not least..the one we’ve all been waiting for.. ok ready? Here it is:
The Aries-Taurus cusp is the gateway for Andromedan Starseeds.
Boom. Yeah I doubt you’ve heard that before. Maybe you have? If so, drop a comment or message me. Let’s connect ASAP!
Otherwise, let’s dive right into these juicy insights. And shouts out to all my Andromedans that randomly come across this.
1) The Cusp Element
One of the easiest ways to understand the energy of a sign, is by looking at the element it is. Even if you don’t know anything about astrology, when I tell you Aries, Leo, & Sagittarius are fire signs, you’d most likely have some ideas on what that could mean. It’s the easiest concept in astrology to grasp. So that being said, what’s the element of the Aries-Taurus cusp?
We know Aries is a fire sign, but what about the Taurus influence? Taurus is an Earth sign. When you blend fire and earth together, what do you get? Lava. That’s the energy that lies in the transitional stages between fire and earth signs.
The Aries-Taurus cusp, also known as “The Cusp of Power”, has the elemental energy of lava. Every cusp sign forms a unique element, that’s atypical from the standard four. These elements are: lava, dust, cloud, and steam. This idea of “cusp-sign elements” was first introduced by the astrologer Doelow The Pilotman. For now though, I’ll just explain the one I’m most familiar with, since it’s mine; lava—but if anyone is interested in a breakdown on the elements, let me know in the comments.
As I’ve pointed to earlier, the lava element is made up of both fire and earth. Fire is all about willpower, passion, transformation, vitality, spirit, and even magic. Fire is our ambition, our desire to achieve. Our ability to compete. Think of the successful entrepreneur. Or the warrior ready for combat. They both share a firey energy; driven, risk-taking, and confident. Earth is all about structure, stability, materiality and physicality. Earth represents the physcial plane and the world around us. It’s the builder, the teacher, the sustainer. Slow. Methodical. Disciplined. It’s the great foundation, the holder that upholds life as we know it (as earth is the only planet THAT WE KNOW OF that holds life)..
When these energies sync together, you get volcanic manifestation. By that, I mean relentless power to reshape physcial reality. Hence the name, Cusp of Power. This vibration manifests by the sheer force of desire and discipline. It’s the driven executor. Think: Rachel Ray, J.P. Morgan, Samuel Jackson, or even Hitler. Vastly different life paths, yes, but all of those people are/were lava signs.
And that’s what makes lava so special. It’s about grounding the intangible. Bringing form to chaos. Making reality out of dreams. We all have big dreams, but how many of us actually turn them into reality? Fire alone burns out. You can have all the ambition in the world but without discipline, you’re going nowhere..or as they say ”Dreams don’t work unless you do.” Not to mention that it also leads to burning bridges and structures, instead of building them.
Which brings us to earth, no pun intended. Earth alone stagnates. Having a bunch of discipline without dreams is limiting and depressing. Not only that but it can make you feel aimless, putting in a lot of work with no real destination or intention. Or at the very least, analysis paralysis, stagnation via confusion on which desire to follow. The magic is in the middle. These energies put together begets the sustainable aggression required to attack your goals. The cuspy element of lava has the entrepreneurial fire anchored in real-world systems. Think scalable businesses, asset creation, wealth via persistent action towards desires.
The lava element is a beautiful element…and no I’m not being biased. Which reminds me of the downside.
Lava lacks water. Water symbolizes our emotions, so not having water can lead to feelings of apathy. There’s a lack of emotional connection or even receptivity issues. Now consider the fact that it also lacks the air element. There’s a lack of communication or issues with verbally communicating your ideas. When you add both of those, this can bring someone who can get so wrapped up into making a reality out of their passions, that they forget about the emotional needs of their friends and loved ones. This person has all of the ideas in the world, but resists the ideas of other’s. It’s like they have enough ideas to create a world of their own.. so they don’t necessarily want your ideas mixed in. Or at the very least, they forget to even consider the ideas and feelings of others. Even their own emotional needs. So busy “making a living” that they forget to live. So my advice to anyone with heavy lava placements, don’t create an island you’re the only inhabitant of! Relax, try not to take everything so seriously. You have a habit of looking at everything as “what’s the purpose?” Or “does this serve my purpose?” That’s cool that you’re intentional, but understand that life is about exploring and experiencing. You’re here for a good time, not a long time. So.. sometimes let the universe answer those questions. Go with the flow. Be present, because that’s where your gifts are.
2) The Mythical Connections
The Aries-Taurus cusp has strong ties to various Gods and Goddesses, across pantheons. Considering the names of the planets and a large part of astrology are tied to Classical (Greek & Roman) mythology, we’ll start with one from there. If there’s any interest, I can discuss the connections with others deities, including in other pantheons, in a future article.
As for the Aries-Taurus Greco-Roman link, the very first connection that comes to mind is with the god of desire, Cupid. Why is that? Well in Roman mythology, Cupid was the son of Mars and Venus. In case you didn’t know, the signs Aries and Taurus are ruled by Mars and Venus, respectively. What’s also interesting, are the Greek counterparts of these beings. In Greek mythology, Mars is “Ares” (pronounced just like Aries), Venus is “Aphrodite,” and Cupid is “Eros.” Now here’s what I find even more interesting. Try combining Aries and Taurus into one word. What I get is something along the lines of “Airus” or “Arrus” which sounds a lot like Eros. Eros is homonymous with “arrows.” Coincidence? Maybe; but given the nature of the topic, some would argue they don’t believe in “coincidences.” They call them “confirmations” or even “synchronicities.” Something to consider, words are spells.
Another creative connection can be drawn to the last decan of Aries (which is where this cusp occurs). This just so happens to be the “Sagittarius ” decan of Aries. Sagittarius is the archer 🏹♐️ with the bow and arrow. Where do aim your arrows? Where, on the target, is the best place for an arrow to strike? The bullseye. 🎯 The very beginning degrees of Taurus, the eye of the bull. Granted, this is all just metaphor and wordplay. Poetic even. Some may call it a reach, but regardless it’s definitely worth noting. Having a clear destination, force and determination to get there is not only describing the arrow hitting the bullseye, it’s the headstrong leader pioneering a new frontier. Sounds like the beginning of the zodiac. The Aries-Taurus cusp.
Now that’s just breaking down the symbolism in the names. There’s even more connections with the god of desire. Mars and Venus in your chart symbolize motivations and values, respectively. In mythology, they represent war and love. Put this together, you get someone who’s willing to fight for the things they love. When your sense of motivation and value are aligned, you get desire. Or another way to look at it, your desires require motivation and value to manifest. For example, when you have value for something and you’re motivated by it, it turns into a desire. Live example, you value stability and you’re motivated by freedom so this manifests as a desire for “financial freedom.” Complex example, Elon has a value for the future of humanity and is motivated by curiosity. This creates a desire to find ways to save the future of humanity (i.e. occupy Mars).
Taking this understanding and now applying it to the Cusp of Power, it’s obvious just how important these drives are. How else can you possess power without having motivation, value, and thus a strong desire? This is where alchemy steps in. One of the most powerful forces, is our desire to feel good. We value feeling good. We’re motivated by feeling good to feel good. And what’s feeling good all about? Emotional, physical, or spiritual alignment right? Taurus literally rules the physical senses. So with this in mind, Aries-Taurus cusp energy has the potential to motivate through sensual pleasure. People born with this energy can be very sensuous or naturally alluring. Almost as if Eros is continually striking the people you encounter.
Not to mention the consort of Eros, Psyche. Psyche means “spirit or soul” but in modern language has come to be equated with the mind. There’s a lot to be said here, which deserves an article of itself, but it goes back to pleasure and desire. When the heart and mind are aligned, you can truly experience pleasure. Mindlessly chasing after desires can lead you to realizing those weren’t truly your desires, or you could’ve done a better job obtaining them. When your passions and desires are consecrated with your consciousness, then will you experience the bliss that goes beyond the physcial senses. Maybe this is why this cusp receives power how it does. It’s not motivated by mere desire, but soul-level desire. Physical and material motivation isn’t enough, they need spiritual inspiration.
3) Highly Intellectual
Come on. After mentioning the connection between Eros and Psyche, you didn’t think I was gonna mention the love of the mind? Most sources describe the energy of this cusp as intense and headstrong. While not entirely wrong, this is missing the bigger picture. Aries-Taurus is actually an intellectual energy. Plus, I mentioned the last decan of Aries being the Sagittarius decan. What I didn’t mention, however, is this is also the part of Aries that’s hungry for knowledge. We know this because Sagittarius (and this decan of Aries) is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter brings wisdom and higher learning. The ninth house of the birth chart is also home to Sagittarius, which is the house of learning and education.
Aries-Tauruses are sapiosexual individuals. They love through mental connection and shared ideas. Flirting to them is wit and humor. Intimacy to them is about exploring one another’s imaginations. They don’t take things at face value; always questioning. Always looking for a deeper meaning. When they ask “Why?”—saying “just because” or “because I said so” just doesn’t cut it for them.
This being said, this energy is not interested in surface level communication. The irony is Taurus energy is all about keeping things surface-level while it’s sister sign, Scorpio, is the one about going deep. Remember how I mentioned the Aries-Taurus cusp is the energy signature of Eros. Since we know that Eros is the partner of Psyche, then it makes sense that Aries-Tauruses are “partnered with the mind.” That’s to say, intellect and Aries-Taurus, go hand in hand. They’re a package deal.
Symbolically speaking, Aries represents the head of the body, just like the head of the zodiac. Taurus represents the mouth and/or neck area. Both of which being the head area overall, symbolize the heady nature that this cusp represents. It’s a cerebral energy. It’s all about the head-space. Think of the actual animals of the zodiac. Aries is the ram 🐏 Taurus is the bull 🐂 and both of which have horns. Meaning they strike with their heads; they go headfirst. This is speaking to two things. Aries-Taurus cuspers prefer the weapon of choice to be their minds—and they use it to calculate risks, take charge, and thus to lead.
We can also come to the conclusion of their intellectualism through an elemental standpoint. Fire is a creative element and earth is a practical element. When these are blended, the energy becomes both inspirational and logical. This is someone with a lively imagination yet a the mental capacity to chop through illusion. Someone who can analyze the chaos and make sense of it, bring order to it. These people can not only understand large, complex ideas but also communicate them more simply for others to understand.
Another aspect that makes them so intellectual is the fact that they’re ruled by Mars-Venus. These are practically opposites. We all know opposites attract but this is analogous of two contradictory energies coming together to form a single conclusion. Aka: war and love came together to form desire (Mars + Venus = Eros). On a practical level, this is someone who can analyze thoughts from multiple angles. They can view, even their own ideas, from the perspective of agree AND disagree. What this does is not only bestow critical thinking skills but also high creativity. One of the biggest indicators of creativity is the ability to connect two seemingly unrelated ideas. Being the offspring of opposing energies will typically grant you this gift.
4) The Stargate for Andromedan Starseeds
There’s 88 modern constellations in the sky. We use only 12 of the 88 constellations in our zodiacal wheel. This is for many reasons, including but not limited to these examples: those are the constellations that were seen rising during each season, they’re linked with the ecliptic, and with the 12 months. However, there’s much more happening underneath the surface. Like how there’s actually another sign that’s linked to the ecliptic, yet left out of astrology. In fact, there are constellations behind other constellations—that we’re not even paying attention to!
Andromeda is a constellation that spans from Aries to Taurus. In the middle of this constellation, at aprox 27 degrees Aries, lies the Andromedan Galaxy, our closest neighboring galaxy. No other signs in our zodiac wheel are in the Andromeda constellation; depending on your astrological/astronomcial system of course. This is all based in tropical. Now there is the Andromeda Family which is a group of constellations, Cepheus, Casseopiea, Cetus, Andromeda, Perseus, and Pesgasus. These go far beyond just Aries and Taurus. But as for Andromeda herself? She only spans the Cusp of Power. Well the entire signs, but put get the point. Aries-Taurus.
In comes the starseeds..
Alright so there’s a lot of misinformation and generalizations online about what starseeds are and how you can determine if you are one. I have an issue with that because it leads people to form identity frameworks without any logic behind it. Last time I checked, systems don’t work without logic. Well I’ve actually got the logic to make a legit system out of the so-called “Starseeds.”
As for Andromedan Starseeds themselves, they particularly transit here through stargates like (not only) Alpheratz, Mirach, and Almach. These are fixed stars which just so happen to be placed in the signs Aries and Taurus. In my last article, I’ve already explained in depth the significance of these stars.
The traits of Andromedan Starseeds however, come from the original myth of the chained princess. Andromedans are here with a memory of once being royal, then being exhiled & restricted, and then finally reclaiming their freedom. During times like now, here on Earth, the cries for freedom echo into time and space. Many beings from across the cosmos hear these calls, Andromedans are one of them. Because they’ve collectively already experienced this spiritual battle, they’re coming to assist beings on Earth grow through the same process.
There’s an ongoing war on Earth between classes. Between countries. Between races. Between religions. Between sexes. Between genders. It goes down to the sports teams. At the end of the day, we’re all fighting for identity and expression. Even we we war for land, we just fighting for more space; more stomping grounds to express ourselves. Truly we’re fighting for the freedom to live out our identities fully. Indentity wars are the low vibrational manifestations. Apathy towards those we see as “other” is birthed from that. Diversity and innovation are the high vibrational manifestations of it. Empathy to different perspectives are birth from that, which leads to more creation instead less. It leads to innovation through incorporation instead of competition. That’s the Andromedan way.
The thing about Andromedans though, especially ones sitting at the Cusp of Power, is they make great teachers, but not in the traditional sense. Andromedans arent really emotional and emotions might be necessary depedning on who/what you’re teaching. Not ideal for a teacher for small children or of emotional topics.
That being said, Andromedans actually make wonderful teachers. Not just because their highly intellectual but because they lead by example. Their curiosity drives them to dive deep on subjects that fascinate them. This same curiosity leads them into forming hypothesis and theories about their findings. Eventually they experiment with them and test them out. Before long, they become experts (often self-taught/self-led) in the field. If it’s something that helps them feel more free, they’ll even become pioneers in that field. Because of all this, simply watching an Andromedan Starseed perform their creative process is most being learn from Andromedans. Besides, there’s no better teacher than experience—and Andromedans teach through experience.
Wrapping up…
So those just some of the things they don’t tell you about the Cusp of Power. Thanks to articles like this, real depth is being brought back to the table. Real value added to the conversation, instrad of the same old regurgitated stuff. Now you know things like, this cusp forms the lava element. You also know what that even means; it takes passion and makes it concrete. Aries-Taurus cusp is connected to the God of desire, Cupid—and many others. This is a cerebral energy that values the mind, yet very sensual. And most importantly, this is a major gateway for Andromedan Starseeds to incarnate. These are all insights that I’ve come to the conclusions to on my own. At the time of this writing, according to my personal research, I haven’t found a single person sharing this information. Like.. I’ve never seen the Aries-Taurus cusp referred to as intellectual. You know what people say? “They very direct.” Cool but where’s the depth, you know?
That’s why I’m here. I offer personal readings for Starseed influences. If you want more depth and information on Starseeds or if you have any connections, not only should you be subscribed to me—you should also be booking me for a reading.
