Venus enters Cancer until August 26th
Venus in Cancer allows us to properly identify what we care about vs don’t. Venus is like “Hey, don’t forget your care is a very valuable energy. Don’t just waste it on everything.”
Normally, I’d say how Venus started us off for the month–but I’m writing this on the 12th–so I’ll start from here. That being said, Venus entered Cancer on August 1st. Now, Venus is squaring the moon until the 15th. With the moon in Aries, this is a time when we’ll feel emotionally drawn to act on our desires. However, there may be some confusion about how to do so in a practical way.
Venus Conjunct Jupiter
While this is all happening today (the 12th), Venus also joins Jupiter in Cancer at exactly 0°. This conjunction will last until Venus moves into Leo on August 26th. Jupiter sharing space with Venus signifies extreme abundance–not to mention, it’s exalted in Cancer; this is a very fortunate time. Happening in the sign of Cancer, this abundance is regarding care and nurture. It can be us feeling an abundance of care from someone, or vice-versa. It can be us nurturing something in a way that doesn’t leave us feeling drained. Or it can be us receiving some sort of abundance from all of the nurturing we’ve done in the past. After watering it, a tree gifts you with fruit. We’re now receiving that fruit. If you haven’t been watering a plant (taking care of something you love), now’s the time to start.
Venus Trine Lilith and North Node
Lilith and the North Node are in fellow water signs, Scorpio and Pisces, respectively, forming a trine with Venus. Lilith represents our primal drive and shadow side. The North Node represents our current spiritual quest. Lilith is actually in it’s home sign of Scorpio. This is dark-feminine energy. Mysterious. Alluring. Methodical. Our instincts are pushing us towards intimacy. We become more intimate with ourselves when we accept our deepest desires. We become more intimate with others, when we seek to understand theirs. From all this, we feel a slight sense of vulnerability; we may get the urge to retreat and shroud ourselves. It’s all because we’re naturally curious about the deeper parts of ourselves and others. As we find things in those depths, we may get scared. Scared of what’s there. Scared of who else might see. Scared of how long others probably already seen.
With the North Node in Pisces, spirituality is in the background of everything we do. Our trust in the universe will serve us best right now, as we’re being guided to “go with the flow.” Embrace the feeling of wonder and fantasy. How can you weave that same feeling into your daily life and long-term goals? This Venus trine makes it easier for us to blend spiritual life with our home life. Our families and households will grant the space to explore our beliefs around God, life, and spirituality. The relationships with our family members can become more empathetic. Our love lives can feel more fulfilled by adding an element of fantasy.
Venus Sextile Moon and Eros
Then on the 15th, the moon moves into exaltation, Taurus. This will form a sextile with Venus. During these moments, we may need to act as the grounding force to bring harmony to a situation. Venus will employ us with empathy and the desire to help, while the moon will keep us emotionally resilient. This is a beautiful combination. While both Jupiter and the moon are exalted, Venus gets to experience them both. We’re given the opportunity to carefully assess our beliefs around relationships, with the gift of stable emotions. It’s easier to know your values, when you have a clear mind. It’s also a great time to assess our relationship with belief; are we “nurturing” beliefs that we no longer value? Are we nurturing beliefs that don’t bring us value?
Also the moon is going to sextile Venus on the 25th, when it moves into Virgo. By this time, we’ll feel emotionally comfortable with the routines we’ve set in place. These routines are dealing with this new thing we’re “taking care of.” It could be a new relationship, career path, or belief system, for example.
Venus is also sextiling Eros in Taurus, until the 26th. Now we’re focused on making our homes more attractive. It also speaks of making yourself more attractive through physical self-care. However, something to watch out for is someone who only values you for your possessions. People may only want to connect because of material gain. With Venus trine Lilith and sextile Eros, this is time of heavy attraction. Be sure not to attract the wrong energies. That being said, you could attract caregivers. People may feel romantically compelled to take care of you. Or vice-versa.
Venus Square Mars, Neptune, and Saturn
While this is all happening, Venus is also squaring Mars in Libra. This adds to the confusion of practically attacking our goals. It’s an interesting square too, because the ruler of Aries (Mars), is in the home of it’s natural counterpart (Libra/Venus). This gives that Venusian energy an added boost, as we feel motivated to connect and relate with others. The thing is, Venus is squaring her own home sign of Libra. And if that’s not enough difficulty, Mars is debilitated in Libra. That means we don’t feel as motivated to “take that leap” as we did before. Our assertive energies can either be misdirected, miscalculated, or weakened. It’s as if Venus is trying to teach Mars how to hone his motivation for things of true value and substance. There’s a motivation to pursue things like relationships over material gain. More specifically, with this alignment, Venus is teaching us how to go about our relationships in a healthier way. She’s instilling an air of “patience” because getting what we want doesn’t happen overnight–especially when it comes to people/relationships. We can’t force connections. When we do, we usually drive the connection away even more. The passion of Mars can be overwhelming. Venus is tempering those flames. Saturn being in Aries right now reinforces this.
For the entire month, Venus will be squaring Neptune and Saturn. Saturn and Neptune are both (conjunct) retrograding in Aries. This gives us the support we need to build solid foundations towards our goals. Neptune is granting us a clearer vision of our dreams. Saturn is giving us the discipline to turn those dreams into reality. Their retrograding means we have a second chance to get serious about our dreams–before they’re fully set in motion. Venus squaring this speaks of truly extracting the value from this process. For example, let’s say you have a dream to be a better golfer. Venus is questioning the value of that. That’s not to say that it’s not valuable, but why? Why is this your goal? Is it for external validation, ego? Does it allow you to perform better in your relationships? Does it allow you to feel more “at home?” Venus is also questioning the value of your home and family life, regarding this dream. Perhaps there’s something there you’re overlooking, something that would help. Or maybe there’s something you need to learn. Like maybe there’s a family member who’s good at golf and can teach you, but you don’t know it. With the added Aries influence, it could be more violent. Maybe you do know this family member is a skilled golfer, but you’re not on speaking terms. Prior disagreements that you need to let go of, to move forward? Simply put, Venus wants you to think about how your dreams affect your loved ones. How do your loved ones play a role in dreams?
Eros in Taurus until Valentine’s Day ’26 (Feb/14/2026)
Eros Trine South Node
The South Node is in Virgo, which means it’s trine to Eros in Taurus. This will last until Eros moves into Gemini on February 14th, 2026. If the North Node represents our current spiritual path, then the South Node is the opposite. It’s the spiritual path we just came from, or graduated from. The point of evolution is to keep moving forward, not backward; up, not down. So spiritually speaking, we’re leaving behind the outdated ways of working. We’re outgrowing certain daily patterns, routines, and rituals. It’s time to let go of our ideas of how “productivity & efficiency” are supposed to look. That being said, with Eros trine this, we can easily attract other with past versions of ourselves. Someone from the past may reemerge, drawn to you. If you engage in old routines and workflows, you may attract someone. Considering it’s in the earth element, it’s either work-related or dealing with stability. A former coworker popping outta the woodwork? Is it a test or a genuine connection? According to Virgo, “the devil is in the details.”
Eros Sextile Venus, Jupiter, & North Node
Eros in Taurus is sextile to Venus in Cancer. Since I already talked about this aspect, I’ll go deeper, briefly. As mentioned above, this is a time when you may attract caregivers. Keep in mind that there’s a difference between caregivers and caretakers. You’ll most likely attract both. Caregivers naturally take care of things for the sake of the greater good. They don’t have to think about it; it’s just who they are. Caretakers only take care of things for an exchange. There’s something they want out of this, so they’re not giving; they’re trading. Love isn’t a good; you can’t just buy and sell it. Don’t let people trick you into believing love is about “give and take.” That’s why the giver just gives without expectation. “Taking” isn’t even a thought for them. They’re unconditional in their love.
Eros Square Sun, Mercury, & Pluto
The Sun is currently in Leo until August 23rd. This creates a square with Eros until then. We’ll need to learn how our actions affect the way people are attracted to us. Something about you will be put in the spotlight, which has the opportunity to attract. But is it for positive or negative reasons? Are you aware of how your ego is pulling some in and pushing others away? Does your light blind others? Or does it attract them like moths?
Mercury is also in Leo, until September 3rd. With Mercury squaring Eros, our communication may be off when it comes to influence. If your goal is to attract solely on words, you’ll need to have patience. Leo is the center stage, and with Mercury there, you feel as if you’re given the mic directly from God. Your word is law. Your word is the main attraction. The thing is, are you speaking the right words? Are you even speaking to the right crowd? Right now, your language has the ability to polarize. This could be “He’s handsome, until he opens his mouth.” Or even “She’s all brains and no beauty.” Which leads me to my second point. The way you form ideas will turn people either on or off. It’s a good time to learn how to be more “impeccable with your word.” Communication isn’t just about talking; it’s about effectively expressing an idea so that others can share your understanding. That’s when you’ll attract people. Don’t communicate for the sake of ego, but for authentic connection. Bragging or boasting will not make you attractive right now.
Eros squares Pluto in Aquarius until Eros moves to Gemini on Valentine’s Day. The people we’re used to attracting are changing up. Literally and metaphorically. Those who were attracted to you in the past–their identities are changing. So much so, they may not even be attracted to you anymore. This speaks to the second aspect of this. The kinds of people who are attracted to you now are completely new and different. You bring in a different crowd now. You don’t attract the same, unwise, unlearned, unevolved people. You’ve leveled up, and so have the people who find you attractive. But here’s the thing: you have to adapt to this. This aspect is saying that we need to get accustomed to this new lifestyle. So we can’t expect to play the game with the same players. We can’t expect to find new feelings in familiar faces. We can’t expect people from the old timeline, to be attracted to us on this new timeline. There’s a reason the people you’re attracting “aren’t the typical you’d go for.”
Eros Oppose Lilith
With Eros and Lilith opposing each other, our attractive qualities will be at odds with our shadows. In other words, our primal unconscious drives will repel others. When our cravings for intimacy cause us to be domineering and lustful, we become unattractive. When our fear of being vulnerable makes us hyper-defiant, people lose attraction. At the same time, when we focus too much on “being attractive,” we risk giving up parts of ourselves. People are interested in more surface-level attractions when Eros is in Taurus. However, people are naturally drawn to deep intimacy and sexual chemistry when Lilith is in Scorpio. That’s the opposition at play. The question becomes “How can you attract people on the surface, to connect to them deeper?”
How this affects YOU 🫵🏽
This was just a general transit update on how we’ll all be impacted by these energies, on a broad scale. We’re all going through it, but differently. Not everyone gets affected the same way. Some people have an easier time, others, harder. That’s why some parts of this article resonated more than others. It all depends on your birth chart.
